Stade Sport is a women’s activewear brand that was born after years of getting our PhD in vintage clothing. It is inspired by the thoughtful unfussiness of 1930s leisure — you know, those looks that took you from the clay court to a post-game martini without missing a beat.

As we became more familiar with the relics of the time, we were struck by what they evoked in us: feelings of unburden, of warmth and pleasure and ease. When we thought about what these clothes would mean today, we pictured uncompromising comfort, responsible fabrics, and the abandonment of traditional apparel categories and their prescriptive nature. So we pinned a Slim Aarons photo to our wall and, hundreds of sketches later, here we are.

We hope that Stade Sport clothing will be a uniform -- for wherever your days may take you.  We hope you’ll feel good and have fun in them.
